I believe in balance for the body and the mind…

There’s this crazy notion out there that personal trainers are superhuman and should be benching cars and outrunning cheetahs. I haven’t quite conquered either of those feats…yet. So let’s be real. My approach is real because life is real. I don’t spend hours at the gym doing bicep curls and flexing in front of the mirror (and neither should you, unless you want to, of course). Instead, I strive to push myself every day. To reach further when indoor rock climbing, to bend deeper when practicing yoga, and to lift heavier weights when training. I believe in balance of the body and the mind so my teaching methods include functional movements, calisthenics, weight lifting, yoga, Pilates, and myofascial release. I also love food. Is there a stronger word for love? Because I LLLLOOOOOVVVVEEEE food. It is not your enemy and I will teach you why. As a certified personal trainer, group fitness instructor, nutrition coach, and Health and Wellness Editor for TorontoGuardian.com, fitness is my life. I love exploring the latest workout trends and I’ll try (almost) anything once. I have sweated next to The Biggest Loser trainer - Jillian Michaels, Sidney Crosby’s trainer - Andy O’Brien and creator of the Equalizer – Marc Lebert. And I don’t plan on stopping there…

Kim is a great trainer. She always prepares new types of workouts and it makes the workout time more enjoyable. I have been working with her for 3 months, and I feel so much more strength in my body. I used to get tired easily but now I don’t feel that way. Even after the early morning training, I don’t feel tired at work at all! Also, I lost 2 and a half inches in my waist! I would definitely recommend her. Sojin
I have been taking Kim's bootcamp class for about 5 months now and absolutely love it. Her innovative, challenging workouts change regularly so that my twice weekly classes are never boring, and the results definitely show. Not only have I toned up and become much stronger, but my cardio and endurance have also greatly increased. Kim does an excellent job at working within everyone's abilities and is extremely encouraging and motivating. Whether you are just starting up a workout regime, getting back into it after a hiatus or a seasoned fitness buff, I would highly recommend bootcamp with Kim. Carrie
When I began training with Kim, we discussed my goals of getting back to general fitness without bulking up, increasing my strength without strenuous lifting and, if possible, maintaining as much as possible a lifestyle which includes a love of good food and drink. Kim crafted a program which enabled me to ease back into training (after a long lay-off), to lose twenty-five pounds, to recover almost all of the strength I had in my days as a national class sprinter and, most importantly, to do all this without significantly sacrificing things important to me in my life. I recently had a medical check-up and was told that my resting heart rate (72) was excellent. I attribute this all to my work with Kim and would readily endorse her as a trainer. Merv
